Hyderabad: Congress leader Revanth Reddy predicted that Telangana minister Harish Rao would be shunted out of TRS very soon. Going by the dissent within the party, it was most likely to happen, he said. Speaking at a programme here today, he said KCR was taking a commission of 10 per cent while his relative (Harish Rao) would take two per cent.

Revanth reminded the people that it was Congress which gave Telangana separate statehood. He said Congress party tried to stop clubbing of seven mandals in Khammam district with Andhra Pradesh, but after KCR became the Chief Minister, the Centre gave an ordinance declaring the merger of the seven mandals with AP.

The Congress leader said that during the discussion in Parliament on Special category Status (SCS) to AP, Polavaram funds and villages merger with AP, both KCR and K Keshav Rao were present. It was unfair on part of MP Vinod to say that the seven mandals were merged by Congress party. He said that each one of them have their own point of argument with regard to SCS to AP. In Lok Sabha, MP Kavitha supported SCS. But outside Harish and Vinod opposed the issue.

Revanth questioned as to why TRS was interested to know about Congress party stand over SCS. "With TRS being in power in state directly and indirectly in the Centre, it was that party's responsibility to spell out their stand." He clarified that Congress stand was Sonia Gandhi's instructions and the decision of CWC. The Congress will continue to support SCS and will work for the welfare of the state, he observed.

He further said that to fulfill the aspirations of Telangana people, the bifurcation bill was passed in closed doors of Parliament while even stopping the live telecast of session. He once again clarified that with regards to SCS to AP, CWC decision was ultimate. He said he was not afraid of cases being filed against him. He will continue to fight against KCR's atrocities, he added.
