KCR on the Cusp of History to Become First Hat-trick CM from South: KTR

23 Nov, 2023 16:39 IST|Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: BRS Working President KT Rama Rao said there will not be any stable government in the state and a cycle of change in leadership will set in motion if Congress comes to power in Telangana .

Addressing a conclave conducted by a private Telugu channel here, KTR launched a scathing attack on the rival Congress and said it is an arrogant party. Pointing out the alleged high command culture, he said there is no Telangana Congress in the state as the party is controlled by the senior leaders from the national capital.

Referring to the predictions of recent pre-poll surveys, the KTR said the BRS party will secure 70-82 seats while Congress will win only 20 seats in the November 30 elections. The BRS leader asserted that KCR stands a chance of becoming the chief minister for the third time, a feat no chief minister in South India has achieved.

He also said the Telangana Congress leader A Revanth Reddy will lose elections from both the assembly segments — Kamareddy and Kodangal constituencies. Reddy is pitted against the BRS chief and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Kamareddy constituency.

He also mocked the Congress election campaign titled, ‘Marpu Kavali Congress Ravali' (Change should happen, Congress should come to power).

“Who wished to see the change (in government)? Not the people of Telangana but the politically unemployed who want change in the state,” KTR said while adding that the change began in 2014 when TRS (now BRS) formed the first government of a new Telangana state.

Taking a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for calling the state polls as a fight between Dorala (feudal lords) Telangana and Prajala (people's) Telangana, KTR said seven students were killed in police firing during the “Idli Sambar go back" movement in the the Congress government. The movement was launched by the students against non-Mulkis (locals) in Telangana in 1952.

The BRS leader said the opposition parties have nothing to speak against the government as KCR has fulfilled the basic needs of the people of Telangana. He said if BRS voted to power, the party will provide stable governance and KCR’s decisive  leadership will usher Telangana in a golden era.

He spoke on unemployment and said the government is fixing the issues plaguing the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC). The BRS leader further said some opposition leaders are making baseless allegations on unemployment in the state. He said he had cleared the All India Common Entrance Exam and worked abroad for a few years. He wondered if the Congress and BJP leaders like Revanth Reddy, Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Rahul Gandhi ever attempted the interview for a job.
