Gopalpuram: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of completely cheating the tribal communities in the state and denying them of their rightful due. Speaking at a meeting in Prakasraopalem with tribal communities organised as part of his mass outreach programme Praja Sankalpa Yatra, the YSRCP Chief criticised the TDP government and said none of the promises made in manifesto were fulfilled.

YS Jagan said that the TDP government neither gave the tribal communities any house nor a piece of land. The government had promised to install solar plants. Where are they?, he asked the ruling government. He questioned about the use of ST Sub Plan and also asked where the Tribal University in the state was. The Leader of Opposition reminded the gathering that there were seven ST reserved constituencies in the state, and that out of them six seats were won by YSRCP.

The YSRCP Chief said that education and health care held the key to the development of tribal communities. The AP CM had not established Tribal Advisory Board and cheated them because Chandrababu was not in favour of the development of tribal communities, he said.

YS Jagan said once YSRCP comes to power they would fill all the backlog posts, provide quality health care at the tribal hamlets' disposal, bring any medical bill above Rs 1000 under Arogya Sri, give pension of Rs 10,000 for people suffering from critical health issues, provide free education to the poor children, provide Rs 20,000 for mess and boarding expenses and also give Rs 15,000 to the family which sends their children to school, among other important initiatives.

The YSRCP chief said all the houses in SC and ST colonies will be provided with 200 units of free power. Every poor man would be allotted land and also Rs 12,500 per month would be given every year in the month of May. He also promised free bore-wells in farm lands as well as super specialty hospital, medical college and engineering college in every ITDA.
