Tollywood On A Hat-trick With Rangasthalam, Bharat Ane Nenu And Naa Peru Surya

Looks like the first quarter has been lucky for Tollywood. 2018 has been fruitful for Telugu A-listers. The last two months have seen the release of various films—Ram Charan's Rangasthalam, Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu and Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya.

True to his prediction, all three news releases Rangasthalam, Bharat Ane Nenu and Naa Peru Surya have opened to mindblowing response from the audience. The three are set to become the blockbuster hits of 2018.

Tollywood scores a hattrick in 2018!

Going into details, Ram Charan's Rangasthalam was released on March 30 and continues to do good business at the box office. Ram Charan has donned a role of a deaf person in the film which was a first in his career and has drawn immense appreciation. The film garnered Rs 100 Cr share at the worldwide box office.

Even Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu which opened in theatres by mid of April failed to beat Rangasthalam. The film however, has been creating new records since its opening by joining Rs 50 Cr Club and Rs 200 Cr within days of its release. Recently, the makers even intended to add a new action sequence shot during holi festival to draw audience to theatres.

The latest one to hit theatres is Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya which released yesterday. Although the film didn't have an opening like Rangasthalam or Bharat Ane Nenu, trade analysts expect the collections to pick up over the weekend. Allu Arjun's role as an Army Officer has come in for much appreciation and the hard hitting social message is the highlight of the film not to mention the perfomances of all the actors including Bunny, Sharath Kumar and Arjun Sarja.
